STEP 1: SKIN PREP

You want to make sure your skin is super prepped and primed for this makeup look. Good skin prep will always give you a good base and allow your makeup to stay fresh all day.

For a dewy soft and gripping primer, try the F.A.R.A.H Smooth Focus Face Primer. This primer passed the viral stick test (where you put the tube to your face and see if it sticks) and allows for your makeup to seamlessly apply. It comes in a full size tube and a mini size so you can try it out for yourself!

How to apply the Smooth Focus Face Primer:

  • After applying your usual skincare (serum, moisturizer, sunscreen), you want to apply primer.
  • To apply this primer, you can squeeze it out of the tube on your fingers or directly on the face.
  • Then, apply it all over your face and tap it into your skin with your fingers, focusing on the creases of your face (under your eyes, next to your nose, on your chin).

STEP 2: THE PERFECT BASE

For the most beautiful and flawless base, you want to shade match correctly, which includes both your foundation and concealer. If needed, apply color corrector before-hand so that you can be fully prepped for foundation.

How to do your base like a pro:

1. Put a few pumps of the foundation of your choice on the back of your hand and use the Flat Foundation 615F brush to pick it up and apply it to your face. You want to use sweeping motions with the brush to evenly apply the foundation, and use tapping motions to blend it slightly.

2. Then grab a beauty sponge. You can use our Glam Sponge for this step, and dab the sponge over the foundation to blend it well.

3. Now grab your concealer. Make sure it is a shade lighter than your skin tone so that it can really brighten your undereyes. Apply concealer to the center of your forehead, under your eyes, and on your chin.

4. Blend the concealer using the Undereye Concealer 710E Brush from the Terrafetti Collection. Or you can check out our blog on some of our other amazing concealer brushes.

5. Set your undereyes and crease areas with a setting powder of your choice, and you're all done with your base!

STEP 3: BOLD EYES

The eyes are the window to the soul, so let's accentuate our eyes with a bold eye look. This part is crucial to pulling off the South Asian makeup look. We're going to go for a warm, smoked out eye for this makeup look with eyeliner in the waterline. Yup, you already know what time it is! Lights, camera, eyeliner.

The Eyeshadow:

1. Before you start, grab the F.A.R.A.H Smoky Palette. This palette is essential to this eye look, or any smoky eye look with lots of glitter.

2. Apply the shade "Harvest" to your crease as the base color using the Tapered Blending Brush 35E. Then, blend it up to the arch of your eyebrow.

3. Next, apply the shade "Firewood" right above your lash line and smoke it out using the Large Blender Brush 25EL in patting motions.

4. Grab a stubby brush, like the Short Shading Brush 45E, and pick up the shade "Smoke". Apply it to your upper and lower lash line in patting motions and blend it upwards.

5. Using 35E once again, blend everything together lightly.

6. Grab our eyeliner brush, Fly Wings 205, and smudge the shade "Firewood" on your lower lash line

7. SPARKLE: add the shimmer/glitter of your choice to your lid and inner corner, "Pure gold" or "dew drop" using the pad of your fingertip.

The Eyeliner:

It's all in the details! A crucial step of this eye look is the eyeliner. To nail this eye look, use our 18 Hour Liquid Eyeliner in "Black Velvet" and our Black Gel Eyeliner in combination.

1. First use the Gel Eyeliner and tight line your top lash line, applying the eyeliner along your upper lash line. Then do the same on the bottom lash line all the way to the inner corner.

2. Next, use our rich and smooth black  18 Hour Liquid Eyeliner and line your top lash line and create a sharp and long wing to give your eyes more dimension.

3. Lastly, you want to line your inner corner as well with liquid eyeliner, adding a sharp point towards the end that will make your eyes stand out even more.

The Lashes:

Lashes are the final step that will pull the rest of the makeup together. If you choose, you can skip this part and use your regular mascara. But, to elevate and enhance this eye look, apply a fluffy lash, we recommend the AISHA Lash from our 3D Luxury Lash Collection.

STEP 4: CHEEKS

We want the cheeks to be subtle, yet complimentary to the eyes. This means they can't be too vibrant, or they will take away from the eyes. In order to get the perfect cheek look, you will need a blonzer (blush/bronzer in one).

We have the perfect blonzing shade for you which doubles as a contour, bronzer, and blush, all in one, so you don't have to apply anything else. Straight out of our L.A.A.L.I Blush Powder Collection is the shade "Arzoo", for the perfect blush/bronzing shade that will give you the perfect cheek for this look.

How to apply:

1. Grab your favorite large fluffy brush, or check out our cheek brushes for the fluffiest cheek brushes out there.

2. Dip your brush into the shade "Arzoo" or any rich burgundy/brown blush.

3. In tapping motions, apply the blush lightly to the highest points of your cheeks and blend it in circular motions.

STEP 5: LIPS

Finally, the last step of the South Asian Baddie makeup look is the lips. We need those brown and juicy lips, so to do that, we're going to grab a lipliner, a liquid lipstick, and a lipgloss.

1. Line your lips with a dark brown lip liner of your choice. A great one is Revlon's Colorstay Lipliner in the shade "Chocolate".

2. Grab the liquid lipstick shade "Datenight" from our "Datenight & Downtown" Lip Duo from our website. (You can skip this step and just apply lip gloss according to your preference). Apply it all over your lips using the applicator.

You can purchase these together or separately.

3.  Next, apply the lip gloss "Downtown" which has built-in shimmer and sparkle in the pink gloss. This is our favorite topper shade which allows for a slight tint of pink and lots of sparkle and a glassy lip.

4. Look at your beautiful reflection in the mirror because you are gorgeous!

STEP 6: FINISHING TOUCHES

As we wrap up this makeup look, make sure to set your face with lots of setting spray, and don't forget to accessorize! Add jhumkas and bangles for a desi touch. And you're done!!! We hope you absolutely loved this makeup look and learned something about a new product or tip you can use.
